Canine Services Available

Offering a multitude of services for canines. From pet dogs to working dogs our Master Handler trains them all. Despite specializing in K9 police/military canines, we offer service dogs, pet dog private lessons, and different group classes specializing in enrichment for dogs. Outside of training dogs, Ragnar Defense offers canines for hire for detection and protection work. Our lessons focus on the goals of the owner and the personality of the canine, making them personal to each individual client.   Our lessons are not cookie cutter or franchise built. Our business understands the struggle that Veterans, First Responders, and the Disabled face, so we strive to increase their access by streamlining the application process, offering affordable payment options and our donation programs.

Client Testimonies

Pancake's Owners

A little over a year ago I contacted Ragnar Defense about a service dog for my son who suffers from Tourette’s Syndrome, anxiety, depression, and some sensory challenges. During that year, they found and trained an absolutely amazing, well-behaved, and helpful dog named Pancake.

Ragnar is easy to work with, and they are very knowledgeable and informative. They listened carefully to our needs and trained Pancake accordingly. Colleen kept us apprised of the progress the whole time, welcomed any and all questions, and encouraged us to visit Pancake regularly.

Since Pancake came home, I have seen my son blossom. Pancake is never far from him, giving him confidence and an increased willingness to interact with the world. He told me that he believes that he and Pancake were meant to be together, and he is learning to use her to help him manage his emotions and frustrations.

I was thrilled to receive an email from my son’s counselor stating: “He is progressing by leaps and bounds since Pancake came home. I’m seeing an increase in his ability to express emotions and describe his mental and emotional experience as well as a reduction in the Tourette’s symptoms. He is communicating at or above his age group and expressing complex thoughts with confidence.”

I am beyond happy with our experience with Ragnar Defense. Their services are worth every penny, and I would not even consider taking any of my dogs anywhere else for training.
